How to Unlock a Blackberry Bold

Unlocking a Blackberry Bold is very simple. Before you can unlock your phone you first need your IMEI number. This number Is listed under the battery on the back side of the phone, or it can be obtained by typing *#06# from the home screen. Typing this will display your IMEI on the screen. Write this number down.

Once you have written down your IMEI number you then need an unlock code. If you do not have an unlock code then visit Unlocking.com and use the coupon code ABB95 to get 55% off their listed price.

Once you’ve purchased your unlocking code follow the following steps:

1. Hit BlackBerry Button
2. Go to Settings
3. Options
4. Advanced Options
5. Scroll down and select SIM Card
6. Type MEPD
7. MEP2 (MEP ATL + 2)
8. Enter the Unlock code provided by unlocking.com
9. Click the Trackball
10. Once you’ve entered the code correctly the phone will say code accepted.
11. If you return to your home screen your phone will now display your carrier in the upper right hand corner of the screen.
